We finally made it to Philadelphia after a little over 5 hours of travelling. Take it from me: flying while congested is not fun at all. It took forever for my ears to equalize in the plane from DFW to PHL on the way up and on the descent. Even worse, I think I have an ear infection now. Not good, not good at all.
After we got checked in to the hotel and all that jazz, we went in search of food. After a couple of wrong turns (They didn’t listen to me) we finally made it to chinatown for some ‘real’ Chinese food. I wish I would have had my camera at the time, because they had this circular glass in the middle of the table that turns, and by the end of the meal, everyone’s plate was on it making the rounds. And by the way, using chopsticks is no picnic.
Three meager souls went walking after returning to the hotel, going from the Wyndham to City Hall and then back down to the Museum of Art, where I got a few pics. Hopefully I will get to take more of this city with history on what seems like every turn.
Time for sleep as tomorrow begins the real ‘disaster’…
Thats right. It has been exactly 6 months and 4 days since my last post! After hearing all of the talk that Phil and Joe have been doing about wordpress, I decided to give it a shot. After less than 12 hours of having it installed on my site, I can see why they like it so much. The ease of use, plus how simple it is to install can make anyone a bloger in no time.
As far as what has been going on with me, work has been revolving around getting ready for our mainframe disaster recovery test. We fly out tomorrow morning at 8:23 CST bound for Philadelphia. Should be loads of fun. (sarcasm implied) 5 days in the city of “Brotherly Love.”
More news to come (I hope) as the site continues to develop.
