the blue barracudas
So our freshman Bible study group has formed a co-ed softball team, and last night we had our first game. Now I say we, but seeing as I am no longer a student, I just get to coach. And by coach, I mean that I get to read off the batting order that Tyler came up with.
So the first game wasn’t exactly a win, but there were some good things to come out of it. Like learning that AshLee likes catching barehanded. And Kyle likes to play with the dirt. And even though Kendall doesn’t have any shoulder sockets, he can still throw the ball with some authority.
Check out the picture below. (BTW, I am trying out flickr, so let me know if you like it better than the gallery.)
Update: So the flickr stuff isn’t working as expected. Be patient while I work to resolve this…

i liked the old gallery format, where you could get the full resolution size. i think the flickr allows the user to select the size. but i also like the thumbnail organization on this new one, where you don’t have to load 10 pages to see the album.

where’s the picture of coach slade spitting sunflower seeds and sending in the “steal” sign….or were you too busy on the phone with the bullpen - computer man by day and professional softball coach at night - you’re one busy son of a gun!

Slade,
Please, just once this year, pretend that you are ticked off, start kicking things and yell loudly, then take a bat, chunk it on the field and walk off. Just do it after the ump calls a strike or something. C’mon man, it’ll be great.
