There will be more pictures to post soon, but I thought this one was a good one to lead off with. It seems like all weekend, Wyatt and Landree ran up and down this little section of gravel, always testing to see who was watching and how long it would take us to tell them to come back.

To go along with the last post…

Yes, I realize that is possibly the most overused term in Texas, especially when fall rolls around, but there is something about a Friday night spent under the lights of a football field that cannot be described any other way. As soon as you mention those words, everyone automatically knows what you are talking about, and to each person, it may mean something a little bit different. To some it may bring back memories of playing on the field, while to others it conjures up cold nights spent cheering on the team from the stands or the sidelines, be it as a parent or as a fellow student or alumnus.

Whatever memories are brought to mind as you reminisce about those lights that act as beacons across the state of Texas on Friday nights throughout the fall, I hope they all bring a smile to your face like the lead-off image to this post does to me. There was no other place I would have wished to be, than there at that moment with my family.

First things first, I have decided to try and start blogging again. I know my previous attempts have been sporadic, at best, so there are no guarantees as to what this attempt will bring. It may last a week, or a day, or nothing beyond this first post. Only time will tell.

My hope is that by including a picture with each post, it will inspire me to look for opportunities to take photos outside of Cozart Photography and post them here. The post associated with the image may be related to the image, or as in this case, have nothing to do with the image.

So here goes nothing. Hopefully the ride is longer than a few seconds…

It has been a while since my last post, which means a picture of Wyatt is long overdue.

Laura and Wyatt have been enjoying the nice weather lately by going outside and swinging away the afternoon. She captured these images yesterday. How come I have to miss all the good stuff while at work?

So I went kinda crazy ordering bulbs this past fall. Just ask Laura. We have them planted everywhere. Every morning when I walk out the front door I automatically look to my right to see if anything has even come close to blooming. So far I have been disappointed, but after the rain Sunday night, I noticed some color starting to appear.

Low and behold, one of the Campernelles (Narcissus x odorus) decided to bloom. Finally some color!

Fifty years ago today, Buddy Holly, along with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper died in a cornfield near Clear Lake, Iowa. Immortalized as The Day the Music Died by Don McLean, it truly was a great loss for the world of music.

So Laura went to the grocery store yesterday, and when she got home she proclaimed that she had a surprise for me. Typically this means that she got me some Hot Tamales, the greatest candy produced, but on this day, it meant something better and way harder to resist! Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies!

Seriously, is there anyway not to eat more than a handful after you stick them in the freezer? If there is, I don’t want to know about it.
